My Story
Hello, and thank you for stopping by, my name is Jen. I have worked in Human Resources for many years and have had the opportunity to work with great people and teams. I have seen how inventive, courageous and extraordinary we can be. I have also seen how we can be challenged, how sometimes we can feel overwhelmed, and can be really hard on ourselves too.
My personal exploration of mindfulness however has little to do with the day job.
In 2013 I was involved in a serious Road Traffic accident, and although I was lucky not to have any lasting physical effects, I had changed. I came to meditation as a way of regulating some of those more difficult changes. I stopped so many times but I always seemed to return to it, because it allowed me to make a little more sense of things when I did. In 2021, I started my training to be a Mindfulness Teacher in University College Cork graduating with an MSc In Mindfulness Based Wellbeing. I didn't intend to teach, I just wanted to learn more about mindfulness and perhaps to understand myself a little more. However, the privilege of being part of someone else's experience of exploring mindfulness in their own life, was a joy. The prospect of starting a web site, and offering classes fills me with me a certain amount of fear, but mindfulness, helps us remember that thoughts are not facts and they do not have to determine what we do next.
If you are looking to learn more about mindfulness, or find practical resources and practices that will support you in your life , I would love if you could join one of my classes.
I am accredited with Mindfulness Teachers Training Association of Ireland and have undertaken on going continuing professional development with the Oxford Mindfulness Centre
May you be well, may you be happy, may you live with ease.
Thanks for reading !
Jen
